Description

Inspired by my last trip to San Francisco. Whenever you spend time doing something new It can bring a rush of emotions: excitement, happiness, joy, fear, etc. Having CPTSD has made changes to the way my mind and body respond to situations. A lot of times doing something new, while you may be excited for it, can leave you feeling empty and numb when actually doing it. It’s a confusing place to sit with. Your brain is only doing what it knows, to protect. But, it takes a long while to reconnect that body and brain.
